Problems and conflicts are part of life - whether between spouses, friends or at work. But often they cannot be resolved for a variety of reasons. Mediation as a voluntary conflict resolution method - accompanied by a third independent party - provides successful answers to this. Although it has a long history, it is still relatively unknown in Germany.

Since 2012, UP Transfer GmbH at the University of Potsdam and the Faculty of Law have been offering interested parties the opportunity to train as a mediator in an extra-occupational certificate course. Over the course of three semesters, participants are trained to become qualified mediators for various areas of social conflict.

The face-to-face courses take place at the University of Potsdam, Faculty of Law, Complex III (Griebnitzsee), August-Bebel-Straße 89, 14482 Potsdam.

Addressees

The program is aimed at university graduates and professionals without a university degree who work in the legal field and other conflict-relevant fields.

Duration

The course generally begins in the winter semester and lasts three semesters, including the required examinations. The course content is taught in a total of ten modules, each lasting from Thursday afternoon to Saturday.

Aim

Graduates gain in-depth theoretical and practical insights into the necessary legal knowledge and the social, psychological and communication-theoretical contexts of conflict resolution.

3,950.00 (plus Euro 700 examination fee for five case documentations)
