I live in Berlin, can I still take part and apply?

You are very welcome to apply. However, the decision on your participation lies with the project team, as places are initially reserved for participants from Brandenburg. We will also have to consult with the project teams of similar programs in the Berlin Regional Integration Network.

Does the qualification cost anything?

The qualification is free of charge, so you don't have to pay anything.

The travel costs to Potsdam for the classroom training can be covered - after an individual assessment - and you will get your money back.

Do I need an education voucher to take part?

No, you don't need to.

Do the lessons take place in person or online?

Lessons take place from Monday to Friday as a combination of face-to-face and online teaching, for example 3 days of face-to-face teaching at the University of Potsdam and 2 days of online teaching in one week. The distribution of face-to-face and online days depends on the dates agreed with the lecturers. You will receive a monthly timetable with all the information.

Are there exams in the qualification?

Yes, there are smaller exams. But not all modules end with an exam. For the examination modules, you must either write a written exam (a test) or give a presentation on the last day of the module. If you fail the exam, you can repeat the exam. However, it rarely happens that someone has to repeat an exam. There is no big final exam.

Do I need my own technology to take part in the qualification?

Yes, you need technical equipment so that you can take part in online teaching and use our Moodle learning platform.

You will need the following equipment

  • a stable internet connection
  • a PC/laptop
  • a headset
  • a webcam

If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact us.

Do I get a student ID card?

You will not be enrolled at the University of Potsdam. Therefore, you will not receive a student ID card.

I am registered with the job center or employment agency. Can I still take part?

Yes, you can also take part in the training as a jobseeker or unemployed person. We only require written consent from the job center or employment agency.

Will my unemployment benefit be reduced as a result of my participation?

No, you will not lose any money as a result of the qualification. However, should this happen, please contact us immediately. We will support you in clarifying the matter with the authorities.

Which residence permit do I need in order to participate?

You can take part in the qualification with any residence permit.

Will I get an internship or a job offer after the qualification?

No! The qualification allows you to refresh your knowledge and build up your network (through other participants, the lecturers, the project team). This will increase your chances of finding a suitable job with the right qualifications. We are happy to support you on your way into the job market through our mentoring program and existing company contacts.

Can I leave the qualification earlier?

Yes, that is possible. You do not sign a contract with us, so you can leave the qualification. There are also no costs. Our aim is to support all participants in finding a suitable job. If you find one during the course, we will of course be delighted for you. If you wish to leave the training course early, please contact us (the project team). We will then look together at what happens next.
