The University of Potsdam has earned itself a reputation as one of the leading competence centers on a national and international level in the field of Public Policy and Management, based on undergraduate and graduate programs as well as closely connected research projects of various chairs at the University.
These competences are combined in the Potsdam Center for Policy and Management (PCPM), affiliated to the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam. The PCPM sets out to promote advanced study and research as well as national and international academic training projects.
Postgraduate and externally-funded programs are coordinated and operated by the branch “Public Policy and Management” at the University-owned non-profit firm UP Transfer GmbH.
The training programs aim to provide a science-based additional qualification for future decision makers that enable to optimally carry out complex management tasks in a fast-changing, globalized environment.
- Established in 1999 the post graduate Master of Public Management (MPM) is taught in English language and is offered with three specialization streams
- The Master of European Governance and Administration (MEGA) is taught in German and French language
- Various Short-Term Programs offer customized short-term executive training programs for national and international partners.
